Hey Fashionistas!
How is everyone's November going? I seriously cannot believe it's almost CHRISTMAS!! Yay! Have you started shopping already?
Yesterday, my friend Amy and I went to El Matador State Beach to just take in the scenery and to take some photos. It was beyond windy and I might have flashed people at some point, but it was fun overall. If you are looking for a great spot for graduation or engagement photos, that is your place! It has caves, loads of space and it is also semi hidden.
Amy and I had this conversation where we talked about insecurities and blogging. It is hard to put yourself out there with just one person or group, but it is even more difficult to put you, your life and everyone around you out for the world to see and even judge. Thankfully, I have not experienced any negative comments or rude trolls. The worst person I have experienced so far, is myself. There are other bloggers who have ten times the followers and are just drop dead gorgeous. It is easy to start comparing myself and to lose focus on why I started blogging in the first place. So what do you do? I found it is good to pray (of course), focus on your own blog and surround yourself with uplifting and supportive people. Hanging out with Amy and other bloggers/photographers/graphic artists has been such a blessing because they are going through the same thing. I am not saying to only hang out with people who have the same interests, but it is good to find a few.
When I am in front of a camera trying to take some photos and I see other people who are taking photos for their projects, I sometimes want to climb back into my shell. It's hard, I get shy for a second and then just go for it. Move forward, and don't look back! So here's me, going for it:
